The East European Genealogical Society is proud to announce that both the Manitoba and Saskatchewan volumes of Vladimir J. Kaye's Dictionary of Ukrainian Canadian Biography are now availabe for purchase.

 

It has been 50 years since the Manitoba volume of the Dictionary was published. Rare and highly sought after, original copies of this landmark book often fetch prices well over $100. Recognizing the value of this book for family history research, we set out to deliver an affordable alternative for our members as well as the genealogical and academic community.

 

Both works are offered as searchable PDFs and paperback editions while the Manitoba book is also available in hardcover format. New to the Manitoba volume is a Galicia and Bukovina place name index. This value-added resource will help researchers easily locate other immigrants who came from their ancestral villages.

Know before you buy

The Manitoba volume is a facsimile reprint, based on a scan of our copy of the book. This means that, with the exception of the new content, the reprint will be as true to the original version as possible. Our volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure a quality product. While the volume is a faithful facsimile of the original, please note that print from scans may not be as crisp as printing from a digital file.

 

The books are printed by Lulu, a print-on-demand service that attempts to print your order at a facility close to where you live. However, that could be in another country and may result in import fees. Lulu offers a one-hour cancellation period after an order is placed. Kindly be aware that due to the nature of print-on-demand services, returns are not accepted; however, Lulu will provide a replacement if the product is defective or damaged upon arrival.
